Are you seeking a new challenge within the Pensions sector where you can utilise your experience of corporate transactions in a new permanent role.

You will join a dedicated specialist team who deal with the entire spectrum of covenant assessments including in-depth reviews with bespoke analysis and modelling, as well as high level desktop assessments. These are typically carried out in relation to corporate transactions (such as mergers, acquisitions, divestments, leveraged buyouts and restructuring) or in the context of actuarial valuations. The team also advise trustees on setting up employer covenant monitoring conventions and frameworks, agreeing these with the employer, and providing regular updates on the covenant to the trustees.

Your new role will involve performing covenant assessments, including forming a view on the strength of the employer covenant. Amongst other duties you will be advising on options to improve the covenant strength, including contingent assets, conducting affordability analysis and advising on conditional funding arrangements. You will be attending client meetings/calls, delivering findings and recommendations and preparing written reports and delegating tasks efficiently where and when appropriate.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a high degree of professional integrity. You will have a strong numerical and analytical background with accounting (ACA/ACCA), actuarial (FIA) or similar qualifications (e.g. CFA)
You must have a solid understanding of the UK pensions industry and be familiar with the latest guidance from the Pensions Regulator regarding the employer covenant
Experience in undertaking employer covenant reviews, corporate transactions and consulting is essential. If you have this experience alongside excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing skills please contact me now for further details.
