Yes! An operational role for an in-house pension department, which can mean only one thing… this is a big scheme! But our client understands this, and this is why your core focus will be day-to-day operational aspects of their DC scheme and although they would also like you to have some Secretary to the Trustee duties, you will only be monitoring the external parties, who will be dealing with all the governance, not you. So this role offers the best of all worlds, to do what you do best on operational functions, and to have some diversity by monitoring governance provisions externally.
As the new DC Pensions Manager for a very large in-house pension scheme, you will not be afraid to step up to the line and take on this role full throttle. You will be managing a variety of third parties and possess strong operational and communication skills. You will not be afraid to 'own a process' and where necessary offer suggestions/make changes for the better.
There will also be annual projects to add yet more variety, which may also involve working with other divisions/areas, so you will also be excellent at relationship building. You will most certainly get out what you put in with this role, which has depth and width to keep you challenged but also allow you to create change for the better and make a valued contribution to the ongoing success of a large reputed in-house pension department.
Given the size of the Pensions Department, our client has employed pensions specialists from a diversity of backgrounds including Actuarial and consultancy, not just In-house, so if you read this advertisement and know you could do this role but have not yet worked in-house but have the relevant experience, Abenefit2u would very much like to chat to you.
