A new opening has arisen within this medium-sized in-house pension administration department for a Senior Pensions Administrator. The client's ideal is that you are looking to join for the long-term and see this new career move as a minimum 2 to 5-year opportunity to expand your knowledge and grow your experience within pension administration at this level, within a friendly in-house pensions department for a reputable employer. They appreciate at this level you will be keen to develop, and will do all they can to involve you in other pensions activities where they can, so you are doing/learning more than an average SPA role might demand, this includes provision of individual and/or group member surgeries as agreed with the Trustee and Group Management. Our client hopes you will be keen to actively contribute to the continuous improvement and the ongoing development of the Pensions Department.

You will update casework log on a daily basis for day-to-day administration of the various Group pension arrangements, and allocate and monitor casework to ensure all member queries are completed on a timely basis.
You will manage the processing and checking of day-to-day work completed by the Administration Team, and also manage the pensioner payroll, annual pension increase exercise and all reporting requirements to HM Revenue & Customs. You will ensure receipt of Scheme contributions (including AVC's), together with payment onto the relevant AVC investment organisations. You will complete production of annual benefit statements.

You will enjoy mentoring/training members of the Administration Team, offering support and providing technical updates to the Department. This role will entail liaison with Actuaries, Lawyers, HM Revenue & Customs, Auditors, etc. as and when required, so you will enjoy helping your team, dealing with members, but also working in partnership with external parties.
