You will be joining this very large in-house pension administration department at Senior Pensions Administrator level. The role requires solid occupational pension's scheme knowledge already, with experience of checking and mentoring junior members of staff to warrant this senior status.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be to support the Team Leader to ensure work is well planned and organised within the team and is accurate, timely and of the right quality. You will quickly learn about internal compliance with Data Protection/Health and Safety/Quality Management processes and procedures, supporting and contributing to continuous improvement activities within the business, with a focus on the best possible member service and experience. You will work closely with Pensions Administrators, which involves checking their work, validating data and providing support on difficult cases. You will ensure Quality Management processes and procedures are being fully complied with and suggest improvements where you can see possible greater efficiency, whilst recording quality checking results to help identify common issues, understand root causes and make changes to existing training or processes. You will also provide feedback to administrators on any errors observed during process checking, providing guidance on necessary corrections, authorise system amendments, data updates and member record amendments.

At this level or stepping up into it, you will either be studying or considering study of a professional qualification such as the PMI to help you learn, grow and develop, and hopefully progress yourself, as along the way you help others too. You will be someone with the ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to colleagues, so a good communicator, who can also coach, support and nurture others in your team. Either immediately or quickly through fast track personal development, reading and learning, you will also provide technical pension's guidance and practical support to the team. This means you will have a working knowledge of Scheme rules and practices, HMRC rules and regulations, pension's and related employer legislation, alongside solid pension scheme (DB advantageous) administration experience, on a pension's administration software.

Our client appreciates this is a lot of experience in one role for a Senior Pensions Administrator, but if you do have the basics and can rise up to this challenge, this is an amazing opportunity to develop and progress your career to this level and beyond.
