This role sits in the Technical team providing support to a wide variety of projects with a particular focus on technical pension's issues within these projects, as well as assisting with complex member casework, complaints handling and supporting the core Member Services’ teams.
You will provide technical support for bulk project work, including data analysis, individual and bulk calculations and system updates. You will be carrying out calculations, validating data and supporting the core Member Services teams with high value or technically complex cases. You will support pension administration system amendments to calculations and background data tables as required, and develop/maintain spreadsheet calculations used to test system and run calculations that system is not able to process.
You will also: Support the complaints handling process, including end to end complaint management process, monitoring and trend analysis; support changes to Work Instructions and processes as required and provide training on these changes to core Member Services teams; and support the ongoing monitoring of strength of operational and system controls to reduce risk to the Scheme.
You will be someone who enjoys keeping up to date with relevant legislation and regulations, assisting in disseminating the information to the wider team, developing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of team specific processes including system specifications, data, Scheme rules and procedures, compliance with Data Protection/Health and Safety/Quality Management processes and procedures.
To undertake this role you will have experience in pension's administration and administration processes, ideally in a role with a technical/systems focus. You will have worked on Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and possibly Microsoft Access? Ideally, you will also have been exposed at some point in your career to building and developing of Proforma for automated calculations, data analysis and manipulation and spreadsheet calculation build and review, or if not, you will be confident this is something you will quickly learn with ease. Our client's scheme is Final Salary so DB Pension Schemes knowledge is an enormous advantage, as opposed to DC. You will require recent or current experience of scheme rules and practices, and pension's and related employer legislation/tPR regulatory codes of practice, and HMRC rules & regulations.
