Your new role working for this large in-house pension scheme for the next twelve months will be to lead a team of between 10-15 pensions administration specialists, and to ensure they deliver the administration of all company schemes (DB and DC) within service level agreements (by the Trustees as this is an in-house scheme), meeting audit requirements and ensuring compliance with rules and legislation that govern pensions and the schemes.

You will be a proven pension professional with extensive previous experience of pension schemes, ideally Defined Benefit pension arrangements, from an ‘in-house’ environment, or possibly consultancy. You will have in the past, or in your last role (as hopefully you are not working and ready to take on this new role shortly), have lead a team. Our client will also consider individuals who demonstrate they are ready to take that next step in their career and lead a team. You will have a strong interpersonal skill set and the ability to influence at all levels, with tact and diplomacy, in addition to be being a clear thinker and communicator, both verbally and in writing.

You will work with and have the support of the Pensions Administration Manager, and will be responsible for monitoring legislative changes and ensuring that they are implemented into the administration to remain legally compliant for the company DB scheme. As owner of administration risks, you will ensure compliance for both the pension schemes, and that both the Trustee and Society’s risk registers are updated. You will highlight any risk to the pension manager.

You will be passionate about pensions and cannot wait to manage and motivate your new team of pension administrators for the next twelve months, working with your team members to develop knowledge across the team, ensuring that training needs are identified and met and providing coaching. In return as a contractor on the company payroll you will be entitled to all standard benefits and we hope enjoy working in this large head office, with wonderful facilities and a warm friendly environment.
