Your next rung on your early career ladder in pensions will be to provide a professional and efficient in-house administration service to members and colleagues in relation to a closed DB Pension Scheme, and some input to the externally managed active DC scheme, both on behalf of the Company and the Trustees of the scheme.
Experience in Pensions is essential, our client has quoted 2 years as a minimum and would be looking for someone like you to come in and with knowledge and experience of pensions administration, DB and/or DC schemes. You will be able to perform various pension administration tasks in accordance with agreed procedures, legislation and rules of the pension scheme. These will include communication of member entitlements both verbally and in writing, processing of member benefits based on their entitlements under the rules of the pension scheme (retirements, divorce, death, transfer values, etc.). We hope you will also have knowledge of Guaranteed Minimum Pensions and are at the stage where you can offer resolution of member queries both verbally and by email.
You will be Pensions IT literate and have a good standard of Excel. You will be able utilise and enter data into systems (PS Pensions, Resource Link) to comply with administration procedure, ensuring accuracy of information and compliance with Data Protection Act.
