Senior Pensions Administrator 3 days office/ 2 days home working

You will be joining an exceptionally friendly large (and growing year on year) pension administration team who are there to ensure that a professional and efficient administration service is provided to the membership of both company employees (In-house scheme), and client company employees (as a TPA client provider), in accordance with the company's own internal service contracts and agreed administrative procedures, and those agreed with each new client onboarded. The role requires solid occupational pension's scheme knowledge already, with experience of checking and mentoring junior members of staff to warrant this senior status.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be to support your line Manager to ensure work is well planned and organised within the team and is accurate, timely and of the right quality. You will work closely with Pensions Administrators, which involves checking their work, validating data and providing support on difficult cases. You will also provide feedback to administrators on any errors observed during process checking, providing guidance on necessary corrections, authorise system amendments, data updates and member record amendments.

You will be someone with the ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to colleagues, so a good communicator, who can also coach, support and nurture others in your team. You will also provide technical pension's guidance and practical support to the team. This means you will learn and eventually have a complete working knowledge of Scheme rules and practices, alongside already knowing about HMRC rules and regulations, pensions and related employer legislation. Our client would expect you to have solid pension scheme administration experience, gained on one (or more) industry versions of pension's administration software. Past DB particularly advantageous.

Our client knows one size does not always fit all, so you have the option to choose how many hours you work per week before you join and by doing so earn a slightly higher salary if you work more hours (40), lower if less (36). You can also take a 30-minute lunch if you prefer and start/leave earlier. Our client also still only requests just 3 days in the office, making roles at this company an enticing proposition to any individual with pensions administration experience (Defined Benefit preferable but Defined Contribution still considered) who also would like the opportunity to study, take exams, move up the ranks, and progress their career.
