Your new role on joining this in-house pension department (outsourced schemes) will be reporting directly to the Group Pensions Manager, working in a pension's team sitting in the finance department where you will take responsibility for various functions, but mainly the outsourced pension administration.
Your super new role will be to ensure the smooth provision of pension administration services through and alongside external providers. You will lead in the management of the supplier relationships with the outsourced administrators for the company, ensuring services are delivered in line with contractual requirements. You will make recommendations based on internal/external feedback to assist in pension service delivery improvement and to help build the business. You will be able to discuss/present deliverables with the internal/external stakeholders up to senior level and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.
You will look at process management, delivering business process improvements, conducting activities in line with internal procedures, policies, and legislation including industry standards. You will determine solutions for operational pension problems and connected issues where the parameters are not well defined and where previous experience does not always provide any precedent.
You will contribute day-to-day specialist pension's knowledge and provide commercially focussed support to both internal and/or external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the quality of primarily UK pension data, however, this may extend to all company global pension's data when appropriate (prior global pension's knowledge NOT a prerequisite, this role is predominately UK schemes).
When required you will also be able to manage projects within the Group Pensions department and ensure they are in accordance with quality system requirements, cost structures and budgetary/contractual requirements. You will cover and deputise for other members of the team, which will entail attending trustee meetings. You will be someone able to deliver pension communications in all mediums and a good communicator. There may even be occasion to mentor/coach other employees, to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application.
You will already have previous Pensions Operations Management experience in either an in-house/third party administrators’ environment, and be experienced in administering both DB and DC pension arrangements. You will be someone who pursues CPD and regularly updates pension's industry knowledge. As this role will be three days working from home, you will also be someone who is self-motivated and driven.
