Pensions Assistant, 12-Month Contract, In-house Scheme

You will be supporting the Pensions Manager and be responsible for providing a service to employees, pension trustees and various internal stakeholders such as HR, legal, IT, Risk, as well as comply with the regulatory environment.

Core elements of your role will include, vendor management, scheme secretarial support (at trustee meetings) and related data review and resolving as needed, query management, maintaining policies and procedures, retired staff administration and miscellaneous projects occurring whilst you are there.

You will be someone with demonstrable expertise in Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Pensions, able to work with little supervision, who can manage their own work and any projects, organise and prioritise on a daily basis and respond to most urgent work first as required. As vendor management will be a key part of the role, you will have good written and oral communication skills and the appropriate skills/experience to effectively manage in a complex and changing environment. You will also be someone who pays attention to detail, has good Excel skills, can interpret data and analyse information and draw recommendations. You will be someone who can work empathetically, as you will be dealing with retired staff and a pensioner population.
