As the interim Pensions Manager you will be joining this lovely organisation for twelve months to cover maternity leave. You will need to have undertaken a similar role either as a Pensions Manager or deputy, and be someone comfortable working from home, able to work on your own initiative and motivate yourself to deal with the various elements of this exciting in-house pensions manager role.

Our client's schemes are outsourced, and part of your role will be to manage this relationship and the SLA (service level agreement), designing processes to monitor and improve performance.

Given this company's US links they are very hot on controls, data management and compliance, so this is a big part of your focus within this role also. You will monitor legislative compliance and take action to ensure all requirements and agreements are met within the EAME region, and be experienced auditing and analysing data to ensure data completeness and accuracy, and recommend potential business actions, which will also mean you have good project management skills, and can compile and complete these with little or no guidance.

You will sit on the communications team and attend meetings by Zoom. You will be someone who enjoys communicating at all levels and with all types of people, from scheme members to company colleagues, including coaching and training on occasion.

Our client has both UK and international schemes. You will need UK pension scheme experience, but don’t worry if you have not yet worked on overseas arrangements, this can be learned on the job (which will be a good skill to add to your CV at the end of this contract). You will have a strong Final Salary and Money Purchase background to maintain a broad understanding of pension policies and procedures and the applicable legislation.

You will help with all the annual events that go with running in-house schemes, e.g. benefit statements, and offer training and guidance to other relevant internal parties when needed on pension's matters.

You will be part of a super team, and you will be in the business services section, there is also the corporate support side. Another member of the pension's team deals with strategy work, and acts as Secretary to the Trustees, so you DON’T need to cover these areas for this role. Your focus will be managing external parties, scheme compliance and governance, member communications, annual events and any current projects.
