My client is seeking an experienced Pension Fund Accountant, who will be able to prepare pension fund accounts with an emphasis on medium to large-sized clients or those pension schemes with more complicated structures.
If you have good UK occupational pension scheme knowledge alongside the relevant formal accountancy qualification or can demonstrate significant experience in this area then this could be the role for you.
It is also desirable that you possess experience of derivative investment accounting and a good working knowledge of the taxation aspects of pension schemes such as SA970 and VAT.
Your main responsibility will be to maintain a portfolio of accounting clients and acquire new work as it arises, as well as offering support to more junior members of the team
You will review accounts, bank reconciliations, cash flows and payment authorisations, as well as undertake appraisals of staff. You will also look to maintain good working relationships with all colleagues, continually striving to raise the profile of the function.
