You will be working closely with all your fellow team members to ensure effective and timely provision of actuarial consultancy services to the pension schemes of the company’s clients, as well as performing company accounting work.
You can also expect to present technical matters at team meetings, provide informal mentoring to less experienced actuarial team members, be involved in the checking of work and also contribute to the company’s technical sub-committees.
The role will also require you to assist with triennial valuations and funding updates; preparing and validating membership data and drafting valuation reports.
A proven actuarial track record preferably gained within the pensions actuarial industry is required. You should be able to demonstrate a broad understanding of the various key areas of pensions actuarial work including scheme valuations and company accounting work. Some previous checking experience would also be useful, and experience of calculations, project work and drafting client correspondence is essential. Having attained a minimum 2:1 degree, you will be working towards the FIA/FFA qualification.
