You will be a key member of the client actuarial team, as well as providing direct support to the Scheme Actuary in the provision of actuarial consulting services for assigned clients.
You will have day-to-day management of client relationships with trustees and corporate clients, acting as first point of contact where applicable, taking a proactive stance to gain an extensive knowledge of their assigned client portfolio.
You will also begin to participate in this organisation’s marketing initiatives, new business activities and company events, whilst starting to participate at trustees’ meetings.
The role will also require you to have a detailed involvement in all stages of triennial valuations, funding updates, company accounting work and other actuarial projects, as well as finalising valuation letters and reports and drafting advice on behalf of the Scheme Actuary.
This role will also allow you to contribute to technical sub-committees, which can include drafting summaries for colleagues of relevant developments. You will also be asked to present technical matters at team meetings.
A proven actuarial track record preferably gained within the pensions actuarial industry is required, and you will probably have at least 5 years relevant experience. You should be able to demonstrate a broad understanding of the various key areas of pensions actuarial work. Having attained a minimum 2:1 degree, you will be working towards (or have successful attainment of) the FIA/FFA qualification.
