35-hr week, Flex Hours available

 

A contract role of almost a year, with the opportunity to flex your days/week just as long as you complete 35 hours and the project is kept to schedule.

 

Working for a reputed institution you will assist the Pensions Manager with a special project to undertake a review of the data held by the organisation and to correct it where necessary. The role includes a range of tasks whereby understanding of pensions legislation, benefit calculations and the integration of the State benefits provided by the Government with Scheme benefits is essential.  The organisation’s Pension Scheme is a complex contracted-out scheme and it is essential that the post holder has experience of such schemes.  You will be required to make judgements about the integrity of the data held and be able to investigate where issues are highlighted.

 

You will undertake checks on benefit calculations that have been historically calculated in accordance with the rules of the Scheme and undertake a GMP reconciliation with HMRC.  You should be able to identify data issues and be aware of the legal requirements about the treatment of contracted-out benefits. A strong technical background in Defined Benefit Schemes including an ability to identify issues, solve problems and recommend appropriate remedial action will help you complete this project successfully.
