AB2U Fun Run Fanatics!
In 2008 Dianne and Kathryn were not only bitten by our AB2U company bug, working the hardest they have ever done, but by the ‘Running Bug’ – again! 2007 saw them compete in a variety of events for charity, and in 2008 they supported even more worthy charitable causes and organisations.
Dianne and Kathryn’s aim was to raise £1,000 for charity by the 31st December 2008 by running in no less than 10 fun runs, endeavouring to raise £100 per race. For every race they raised a Just Giving online sponsorship page to make it quick and easy for relatives, friends, clients and candidates to make an online donation of their choice either publicly or anonymously. Much to our great surprise and total delight the final amount raised by Abenefit2u for charity during 2008 was £1,464.47 which has been shared out during the course of the year to the charities below.

- Disability Snowsport
- The Gorilla Organisation
- Guide Dogs for the Blind Association
- Help a London Child
- Jeans for Genes
- Leukaemia Research
- Marie Curie Cancer Care
- Nando’s Aid, Helping people in South Africa affected by HIV or AIDS
- The Rainforest Foundation
- RNLI, Royal National Lifeboat Institute
- Sports Relief
- Trees for Cities
- World Wildlife Foundation
Some of this amount was also through private donations for other causes. For example John Howe, Recruitment Manager for Professional Pensions made a very generous donation to the RNLI.
